If your welding was good,
the tubing will tear apart near
the weld but not through the
weld. This is where the steel is
weakest. The heat crystallized
the steel, and it is now more
fracture-prone there.
In actual bicycle fastening,
brazing would be more appropri-
ate because it is done at a
lower temperature. We'll talk
more about that soon.
